Allegro Fine Tea Pomegranate Green

Allegro Pomegranate GreenFirst, I love the luscious green color of this tea. It’s smell hits you right when you tear open the bag. I received this tea from an online tea bag exchange. This tea is also certified organic, and it says that the tea bag is also made from completely biodegradable materials, which I think is cool. The taste is nothing to write home about though. You can taste the flavors it says (green tea, pomegranate, cranberry) but it still lacks something. If I were to buy this tea, I would use it as something to share with friends who do not like tea very much. It would probably be excellent as ice tea. You do not need too much sugar to sweeten it either. The more you drink of it, the better it tastes. It’s weird that way. I wouldn’t recommend buying a whole box of them before you try it, though it is nice for a relaxing Sunday at home or tea exchange.

I think I built this tea up too much in my mind before drinking it. It sounded so good that I really wanted it to be stellar. Have you ever built up a tea so much in your mind that it doesn’t satisfy that image once you drink it? Do you put your tea on a pedestal like I do? Let me know in the comments below. 🙂

Hope to hear from you. Enjoy!

Work Breakfast Tea

IMG_00000246 I came into work today to find that someone had brought in some lovely tea and pumpkin cinnamon buns for us to munch. While I don’t usually drink decaffeinated tea, I made an exception because it was free. Any free food always  tastes better(practically my mantra in college).

I actually wasn’t too fond of this tea. Don’t get me wrong, Twining’s is a great brand of tea, but this one didn’t wow me. I like the Darvilles of Windsor’s breakfast tea that I reviewed HERE better. I found this tea to be more bitter even when prepared as printed on the box.
