My Favorite Comic Book / Graphic Novel Series

While I’ve had the last book in the series since it came out, I just got around to reading it. It was wonderful but not satisfying. I still wanted more story. But I guess that most good books leave you wanting more.

Some of the best parts of this comic book are the little details and references to other comics and pop culture in general. There is even a Phineas and Ferb reference.

As a series, Chew is my favorite. It was also one of the first comic books/graphic novels I ever read. It really got me into reading comic books, and I will forever be thankful for that.

  1. What’s your favorite comic book series?
  2. What book got you started onto a new genre?

Chew is an American comic book series about a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) agent who solves crimes by receiving psychic impressions from food, including people. It is written by John Layman with art by Rob Guillory and published by Image Comics. The series has won two Eisner Awards and two Harvey Awards.

Thai Tea

This is a photo of the lovely Thai Tea I had at ThaiOishi, a local Thai and sushi restaurant. It was good and creamy, but it was a bit too sweet for me. I would recommend it to try once, but I don’t think it’ll become a staple in your diet.

LuLaRoe and Me

Lately, I have been obsessed with the LuLaRoe clothing. I’m even in a pair of their leggings right now. I did a styling session with my consultant a few days back, and got a huge haul of clothes that can all mix and match to form lots of diverse outfits.

I love LLR because it is comfy but fashionable. I especially love the Carly dresses because I can throw on any one of them and look put together by simply adding a belt.

  1. Have you hopped on the LuLaRoe train? If so, what’s your favorite style?
  2. Do you think people should buy stuff from independent consultants or should they just have a website where you buy it?

Here’s a pic of my latest additions to my collection of over fifty pieces.
